About Us

I founded The Hire Effect™ in January 2016. I invented the processes more than 20 years ago that my consultants, trainers and I use on a daily basis. Our goal? To get every team we work with capable of hiring well by themselves. Our customers walk away from our work empowered to know what their culture is and how to choose the person with the right skills to join their team and move forward. After I invented these processes and gathered the hiring insights, I spent 10 years in economic development, working with thousands of Michigan companies as they formed and grew, using and improving these processes to ensure effectiveness for our clients.

The Hire Effect system and processes have impacted thousands in their professional lives and hundreds of businesses. In 2017 I published my first book The Hire Effect | Hire for Culture and Skill and have since sold over 40,000 copies. My goal is to affect millions of people in how they think about hiring, not hundreds. My book and some of the self learning tools are meant to reach those who aren’t ready for full engagement with me or one of my experts. You can get better at hiring if you just implement one insight from our team. You could be stellar at it too, with a little more investment of your time and money.

I have studied both formally and informally the domains of psychology, philosophy, anthropology, biology, and linguistics for over 30 years. There’s no doubt that I have a unique and valuable perspective on how to make teams more effective, build more meaningful work relationships, and grown your companies more ease-fully by simply choosing better people to join you.
